Adopted *** Sally *** Adopted

Remember our beautiful little gal who was rescued from a neglectful situation and is a Malinois mix female?  She wears a tiara of gold on her head and sprinkles of gold and silver around her body.  Her new name is Sally and she is happily adopted by a family with three little girls to love and her very own fenced in yard.  So far all reports are glowing...just like her coat!

___

Adopted *** Pop Tart *** Adopted

When SCARS received two Coton De Tulears, I admit to not being familiar with the breed!  However, they are certainly adorable and these two were puppy mill rescues.   Pop Tart is the first of the two to be adopted and so far, so good.  His new owner understands it will take time for him to trust them, although his foster brought him miles in the right direction.  So far, all is well in his world as you can see from the picture!

___

Adopted *** Leo *** Adopted

Leo was given up by a family whose mother had passed away.  He is such a precious little fella, we felt sure we could find him a great home and indeed, we did.  Although he never made it to the “Adopt Me” page, Leo went off to a family who is so excited to have him and we get wonderful reports!!

___

Adopted *** Fooey *** Adopted

Well, I sure wish all dogs were as easy to adopt as was Fooey.  The apps kept coming in like ping pong balls.  Finally, we think we have found the perfect home for him and he has a brother Pekingese the same age!  The family drove miles and miles to come get him and they seem to be thrilled with their new family member.  If he hung around much longer, he was going to stay here!

Fooey is a registered, two year old, male Pekingese.  He is neutered and weighs about 8 lbs.  Fooey is so darling and lovable...he is the perfect lap dog.  Fooey loves everyone and other dogs....he will be a fabulous addition to the lucky family who adopts him!!

___

Adopted *** Lobo *** Adopted

Lobo came here in very sad shape.  He was chained with a logging chain and spiked collar throughout the Kansas winter.  A kind neighbor took him home when the owners didn't want him and brought him here.  It took longer than we expected for him to find his new family, but a lovely young woman came along and he found someone to love and protect.  He is happily settled in his new world and we are so grateful.

Lobo is a gorgeous, three year old, purebred, Alaskan Malamute with one blue eye and one brown.  He is neutered, up to date on shots, and weighs about 50 lbs.  We have NO information on cats so pass on him if you are worried.  He is fine with dogs of all sizes, so far.  His life was spent on a logging chain and spike collar and yet, he is still gentle and loving.

Adopted *** Gage ** Adopted

We have been unable to get a picture of Gage and family but have spoken on the phone. Gage is doing well and the family says he is there to stay!!

Gage is a one year old, neutered, male, 50 lb, housebroken Pit/Lab mix.  He is playful but settles down quickly and is great with kids, cats and other dogs.  Gage was rescued, adopted out and suddenly the kids announced they didn't like him for no particular reason, so he was brought back.  We feel so sad for him as  he is a wonderful dog and deserves a loving home.

___

Adopted *** Finley ** Adopted

Finley was rescued from a puppy mill auction before his personality was ruined.  He is only 5 months and is just a wonderful little guy.  Of course, everyone wanted him upon first meeting him so one of our neighbors won the lottery and took him home.  He has bonded with mom and follows her around faithfully and beginning to attach himself to others in the family also.  Who could be cuter?

___

Adopted *** Piper ** Adopted

Piper was a really skinny little pup found in the country by a kind family who took her in.  They called us and we went to get her and put some weight on her, and she began to thrive and gain weight.  Now she is with her new family and her Hound brother who she follows around.  Piper has parents and kids to take care of her and we are so happy she is safe and well.

Piper is a 5 month old, spayed, 25 lb, female, Akbash mix.  She is really delightful...sweet and loves to play.  She gets along great with other dogs and needs another young playful dog as a buddy.

___

Adopted *** Paco ** Adopted

Paco only weighed 5 lbs but acted like a Lion!  He tried to scare everyone away with his terrible fangs and barking, but one family didn't buy his act.  This man and his wife decided to be patient while Paco got to know them...something not everyone is willing to do.  Now he is settled happily into his new home and all is well.

Paco is a four pound, one year old, male Chihuahua.  He is neutered and not sure about this housebreaking thing yet. Once he gets to know you, he is a total love bug but watch out if you are a stranger!  He likes to scream at people like he is being tortured.  For someone with patience, he will be your best buddy. He LOVES other dogs.

Adopted *** Pixie ** Adopted

Pixie's owner had an accident and could no longer keep her.  We took her and before I could blink an eye, she has been adopted!  Her new owner had another Chihuahua named Pixie and is friends with someone who adopted two dogs from us six years ago. We know she is so happy to be settled in at last!
