(January to present)
Here are the original stories and adoption
information about those dogs who came to us as a result of abuse or
abandonment, and have been placed in permanent homes during 2015.

Adopted *** Laika *** Adopted
Laika had a tough start in life. She was brutally kicked thus breaking her
hip. No one could afford a vet, so
she dragged her leg for 5 months until SCARS took her and had her surgery
done. We found her to be smart and
loving, and well worth the cost. In time
she was adopted by a wonderful woman who adores her and this is how we
want all endings to be....happy!!!!
had hip surgery due to being severely kicked. She will be up for
adoption as soon as her leg heals and she is using it well.
Adopted *** Dolly *** Adopted
Dolly has miraculously been adopted and doing great. Not everyone is willing to take on a
puppy blind at birth. But she has
another tiny dog and they are fast friends.
I get wonderful videos of the two pups playing and having
fun. Isn't it great that there
are those out there willing to take a chance on a dog who is less than
Adopted *** Welsh Corgi (now known as
Zena) *** Adopted
Welsh Corgi is now home and settled in with her new sister, Luna, who is
also a Corgi!! Her parents are
teachers and home at a reasonable hour and thrilled to have Zena as a
part of their life. We had many apps on this pretty gal, but feel she is
where she needs to be!!
purebred, female Welsh Corgi is 8 months old, spayed and weighs about
15 lbs. She is friendly and playful and came to us through a series
of interesting events! So far she seems to get along with all
ages of people, dogs and we have no information on cats. We have not come up with a name so
her new, and very lucky family, can choose one!
Adopted *** Penny *** Adopted
Penny is a precious Cavapoo female of
4 months. She and her two sisters
are adopted, but they are going later and together. Penny was named after the person who
rescued her and because she is the color of a penny! Also, her new canine
brother is called CASH so that makes sense!
She was adopted by someone who came out with a friend to look at
another dog...ha ha!!
Adopted *** Delbert McSnoopy *** Adopted
This little guy is a Peagle, which is
a Beagle/Pekingnese mix...and he is adorable. He
has short stubby legs and likes to take a lot of naps! He has been adopted by dear friends of
ours we have known for years so we know he is not only in good hands, we
will get to visit with him often!
Adopted *** Cocker Spaniel
Pup *** Adopted
This gorgeous Cocker Spaniel pup came to us as a puppy mill
rescue at just 4 months of age. He
was so darling and sweet, we waited for the perfect home. I got a call from a man looking for a
Cocker for his wife and he was thrilled when I told him I had one....so off
this pup went to his new home with two parents and lots of grand kids. He seems to be doing just fine!
Adopted *** Cavapoos *** Adopted
We had a tough
time deciding on homes for these three cuties, but feel they are all in
great homes where they are happy. This breed is so popular and we had
a many wonderful applications!!
This is an
adorable 4 month old, male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Poodle mix. He is also known as a Cavapoo!! He weighs 12 pounds and is soon to be
neutered. He is shy and will need a
patient, loving home as he was rescued from a puppy mill in time to have a
chance to be normal pet. We all know
they are isolated and he is getting a lot of attention here, but his new
home will have to be understanding, knowing he needs a happy,
Adopted *** Buddy and
Benny *** Adopted
We knew it would not take long for these two cuties to
find new homes! They did not stay
together, but they both have new siblings and seem to be doing well. Both
homes are patient and loving, have great second dogs, and all is well in
Buddy and Benny
are two male Cavashon pups (Cavalier King Charles
Spaniel and Bichon mix). They are 5
months old and neutered with current shots. They do well with other dogs
and cats. One weighs 17 lbs, the other weighs 10
pounds. They are beautiful and,
while not imperative, would love to stay together.
Adopted *** Ozzie *** Adopted
Ozzie came to us
with the number 39 around his neck on a piece of string. How sad, I thought and he was very timid
and would not let me or anyone catch him.
I tired of playing tag every day but as luck would have it, the
right owner came along rather by surprise.
I ran into an old friend at the grocery store and our conversation
ended up being about Ozzie and she had a seven month old, female,
Australian Shepherd who needed a friend.
You guessed it...they are now siblings and love each other. I couldn't believe how well they played
the first time they met. So, as far
as I am concerned… Ozzie is home.
Ozzie is a 9 lb, purebred, miniature,
tri-color, Australian Shepherd. He
must have another dog in the home with him as he adores them and is very
shy with people. Anyone who
adopts him will have to be patient until he warms up to
you and is trusting. His short life
was in a puppy mill so he was not socialized when he arrived here but is
starting to relax
